Selection of Files on Mac

How to select Files?

To select or copy a file inside the finder, Command + C does the job. If there are many files inside a folder, to select all of them at once focus on the first file and Option + Shift + Down Arrow selects all of them. But, to select files non-continuously the following is the procedure.

Step-1: Go to the file/folder inside the finder

Step-2: VO + Command + Return selects that file/folder

Step-3: Go to the next file without lifting fingers from VO keys

Step-4: VO + Command + Return adds that file to the selection

Step-5: Don’t forget to copy those files immediately by pressing Command + c. Otherwise you loose the selection.

Step-6: After selecting files, VO + Shift + M opens various menu items from which you can share all the selected files at once.

Caution: Don’t lift finger from the VO keys until the process of selection of multiple files is completed.Dr
